Working closely with the client on a strict budget, the bar was an instrumental element of the Indian Oven rebranding scheme from a fine-dining restaurant to one of Omaha’s premiere craft cocktail venues. Material choices such as copper and blackened steel pay tribute to the area’s manufacturing history, as well as pick up tones from traditional Indian serving dishes used at the restaurant. With the abstracted reflections and soft lighting, the ambience of a speakeasy becomes the bar, or as rebranded, the IO Speak.
